Description

The Clipper Stad Amsterdam is a fully rigged three-master with a steel hull, which was put into service under the Dutch flag in 2000. The designer Dijkstra was inspired, among other things, by a merchant ship from the nineteenth century, the Amsterdam (1854). Stad Amsterdam is not just a copy, the ship was expertly made based on old construction drawings of 19th century clippers, but was built with modern materials and has the most advanced technical equipment on board.
